Faith is one of the strongest instruments we’ve got at our disposal. It gives hope, courage, and strength to overcome even the most difficult challenges. Take a moment to listen to five uplifting Bible quotes about Faith.
1st – Mark 11:22-24 (NRSVue)
Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. Truly I tell you, if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and if you do not doubt in your heart but believe that what you say will come to pass, it will be done for you. So I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. […]”
2nd – Hebrews 11:1-3 (NRSVue)
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Indeed, by faith our ancestors received approval. By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was made from things that are not visible.
3rd – Romans 10:17 (NRSVue)
So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the word of Christ.
4th – Ephesians 2:8-10 (NRSVue)
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God— not the result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are what he has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we may walk in them.
5th – John 3:16 (NRSVue)
For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.
These verses shine like a lighthouse lighting up the way in a storm. Remember that faith is a gift which we can accept and cherish in our hearts. Don’t wait until a hardship comes – start today! Read the Word of God, pray and seek a community of believers. With God on our side, we can overcome the most difficult challenges.
